What shopping preferences you have: online shopping stores or retail shopping stores?

For most of the people shopping is fun and exciting. They feel overwhelmed and excited roaming around the markets and shopping malls and exploring different products and items in the market. But with the changing trends people are now resorting to online shopping which not only saves them time but in many cases, money as well. With the increasing online shopping website and convenience of shopping, the question arises is what are your shopping preferences and how you decide that whether you want to shop online or want to shop from retail stores.



With this query in mind I searched out many different opinion blogs and websites as well as questioned people in shopping malls and I came up with different reasons and answers. I shall also like to share with you my personal opinion and shopping preferences about both online shopping and retail shopping.

• Why people shop from retail stores?

1. People who prefer to do shopping from retail stores are of the opinion that they find it more exciting and amusing.
2.  They are able to get a chance to explore the variety of compatible and similar products available in the market and compare their prices in the same or different departmental stores. 
3. They can also try out and can physically view and examine the product which is not possible in online shopping. 
4. The prices of many of the products are cheaper than their online price which increases with the shipping cost and addition of other taxes.
5. If they want to buy small items such as grocery items, it is better to get them from the local stores rather than online shopping.

• Why people shop from online shopping stores?

1. Many of the people think that they can save much more from online shopping stores as compared to the retail stores. They get an opportunity to shop for the designer and branded products at great discounted rates.
2. Online shopping saves them more time. They do not need to wait in long lines or travel long distances to get your favorite products from your renowned favorite store. People feel that they can do shopping from online shopping stores at their own pace.
3. Almost all the famous and eminent designer brands have their online shopping stores which gives an easy access to their branded items and products. People do not need to visit different stores to get different items.
4. People who are brandaholics , online shopping is like heaven for them. There is such a stupendous selection of branded apparel, accessories, footwear and much more for men, women and kids that they can shop till they drop.
5. Online shopping stores have given excess to the world renowned brands. It has put an end to the limits and boundaries of countries and culture. Now people can shop from the stores of other countries as conveniently as they shop from their nearby local retail store.

• My personal preferences about retail and online shopping experience

I personally feel that online shopping stores are better when it comes to shopping for branded products and items. There are many money saving deals and coupon codes available online, which enables the customers to save lots of money on the branded products which might not be available, otherwise. It also saves you lots of time by cutting off the travelling cost and time. There are many second hand things such as books, movies etc. which you can easily purchase online at amazingly low prices. But if I have to shop for grocery items or products which are easily available locally, I prefer to go for shopping from brick and mortar store. In my opinion, this is more money saving.

To sum up, online shopping stores offer tremendous variety and take your scope of shopping to global level but brick and mortar shopping has its own advantages. It depends upon your own personal preferences which shopping path you adopt.
